The 147th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated with great enthusiasm as National Unity Day by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sanstha in Vashi.
Speaking at the birth anniversary celebrations, Mahendra Verma, the founder president of the organization, said that “The dream of making a united India was only of Sardar Patel. He not only did the work of connecting small and big states with the country, but had also planned to merge many other countries with India to make it a united India. But during independence, some sycophantic leaders of the British, on the strength of their words and deeds, thwarted this plan of Patel.”
Mr. Verma further said that “While the present government should impose a strict ban on drug dealers to save the young generation, it should also take concrete steps to protect the future of the children of the country who beg on the streets. Perhaps with good upbringing and education, these children could illuminate the name of the country by becoming a true citizen”.
