CIDCO and NMMC conduct joint demolition drive at Koparkhairne Node

As per Hon. High Court’s Order in PIL No.138 of 2012, the Court has issued directives to demolish all illegal structures, which are not protected by rules & regulations, policy of CIDCO or State Govt. of Maharashtra and submit the report to Court. Accordingly, under the guidance of Kishan Jawale, Additional Collector (Sel. Grade) and CCUC, CUC (North) arranged the joint demolition drive with Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation at Koparkhairne Node on 08 May, 2019 in Thane District of Navi Mumbai. During the drive the unauthorised construction of RCC plinth column built at Survey No. 10, Sector-12C, Samata Nagar, Mauje Khairne was demolished and an area of approximately 52.00 sq. m. was made encroachment free.
The above mentioned encroachments-unauthorised constructions were constructed by violating the prevalent regulations and policy of CIDCO and without taking any permission form CIDCO and NMMC and so CIDCO and NMMC administration, by following the due procedure of law demolished those encroachments.
The demolition drive was carried out successfully with the help of Gawali, Asst. PI and 14 police personnel of Koparkhairne Police Station. The demolition drive was carried out in the presence of P. B. Rajput, CUC (N), CIDCO and Ashok Madhvi, Ward Officer, Koparkhairne Ward, NMMC. Arun Pawar, Asst. PI, and CIDCO’s security guards, MSF
staff were also present during the demolition drive.
While carrying the demolition drive 01 supervisor and 10 labours were employed and one JCB, one truck, one towing van, compressor, two airbrakers and two gas cutters were used.
